40We are seeking an experienced Application Analyst – HIM to support and optimize our Epic Health Information Management applications and workflows.
This role partners with HIM, clinical operations, revenue cycle, and IT teams to ensure accurate medical record management, documentation integrity, release of information processes, and system performance. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, Epic experience, and a passion for supporting efficient, compliant, and high-quality health information operations.
Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and resolve basic application issues and provide end-user support.
Collaborate with IT, HIM, and clinical teams to ensure optimal system performance and workflow efficiency.
Monitor applications for issues related to maintenance, upgrades, and implementations.
Monitor performance and assist with auditing processes to ensure data integrity and record accuracy.
Participate in projects related to system enhancements, integrations, and new implementations.
Support Epic HIM and Identity workflows.
Assist with configuration, testing, and optimization of Identity and Deficiency Tracking processes.
Partner with HIM stakeholders to improve workflows related to patient identity management, chart deficiencies, and record completion.
What’s Available:
Full-time, 80 hours biweekly (1.0 FTE)
Monday–Friday core business hours
Remote work options for residents in WI, MN, or IA only, with occasional need to work onsite for support initiatives in either La Crosse, WI or Green Bay, WI
Immigration sponsorship (e.g., H-1B) is not available for this position
Starting salary of $70,000/year and up based on relevant work experience
Based on experience, this position may also be filled at an Application Analyst or Senior Application Analyst level.
An Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent years of experience and education
Experience: At least 2–4 years of relevant work experience
Certifications: Epic certification required; HIM-related Epic certification preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong understanding of HIM workflows, including documentation integrity, chart completion, release of information, coding support, and record management
Proficiency with supporting Epic Chart Corrections and Deficiency Tracking workflows
Experience working with HIM, clinical, and operational stakeholders
Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical users
Experience working in a healthcare IT environment
