Job Description Summary:
Faegre Drinker has an opportunity for a Systems Infrastructure Manager to work with our Technology, Information Security & Information Governance team in our Minneapolis, Philadelphia, Chicago, Washington, D.C., New York City or downtown Indianapolis offices. You will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to managing the systems infrastructure team in the design, implementation, and support of the firm’s server and storage platforms, ensuring alignment with departmental initiatives and overarching business objectives. This position will work with other talented individuals who share a passion for doing great work in the best interest of our clients.
Job Description:
What you would do:
- Manages the day-to-day operations of the systems infrastructure team to ensure effective execution, team alignment, and delivery of high-quality infrastructure solutions
- Oversees the performance, mentoring, training, and career development of the systems infrastructure team
- Ensures effective project management for all systems infrastructure team projects by coordinating closely with the EPMO (Enterprise Project Management Office) department and other firm resources
- Collaborates with the director and cross-functional teams to coordinate installation, documentation, training, and ongoing support
- Oversees the design, deployment, version lifecycle, and ongoing administration of the firm’s server and storage infrastructure, Microsoft Active Directory, M365, Azure, and messaging systems
- Manages the development and implementation of processes, frameworks, and change management initiatives to improve team efficiency and support successful adoption of new workflows and practices
- Special projects and other duties as assigned

The anticipated initial salary for someone who is hired into this position is $160,200 - $183,100.
Actual initial salary may be above or below the above-identified range and will be based on the relevant skills, training, experience, and other job-related factors, including the location where the position is filled, in all cases consistent with applicable law. This is an exempt role and the initial salary range listed above is just one component of Faegre Drinker's total compensation and benefits package for professional staff, which includes, but is not limited to, a discretionary bonus; life, health, accident, and disability insurance; and a 401(k) plan.
What is required:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in computer science or a related field
- Strong technical skills with a minimum of five years of experience delivering and supporting systems infrastructure
- Demonstrated expertise with working with, and knowledge of, server and storage architecture, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Azure, and datacenter design.
- Minimum of five years of project coordination and/or management experience
- Minimum of two years of supervisory experience that includes developing team members professionally
- Experience working in a law firm or a professional services setting preferred but not required
