Overview
Psychometrist I is an important part of the clinical team. He/She will administer and score psychological tests to assist psychologists in the conducting of evaluations in the WellStar Psychological Services practices. As an integral part of the clinical team, the Psychometrist I will participate in acquiring additional information (collateral, medical records, etc.), which will help clarify a patient's diagnostic picture.

While the clinical interpretation of test results is the responsibility of psychologists, the gathering and synthesizing of information into detailed and comprehensive reports is expected. Ensuring accuracy of test administration practices and scoring is imperative, in keeping with American Psychological Association and National Association of Psychometrists guidelines.

Qualifications
Required Minimum Education

• Bachelor's Degree in psychology, educational psychology, counseling, or a related field Required

• Graduate coursework in clinical appraisal/assessment Required

Required Minimum Experience

• Minimum 1 year in a clinical training environment with a medical population Required

• This can include experience gained as part of a graduate training program in professional counseling, psychology, etc. Required

Required Minimum Skills

• Organizational abilities, the ability to work within the structure, and meet deadlines are essential.

• The successful candidate will possess initiative, attention to detail, mathematical and computation skills, and excellent written and oral communication abilities.
