Join Our W.E.S.T. Team as a Nurse Manager!

Are you an experienced nurse leader with a background in NICU, Labor & Delivery, or Mother/Baby care? Wellstar’s Enterprise Support Team (W.E.S.T.) is seeking a Nurse Manager to lead with vision, compassion, and operational excellence. This role offers the chance to make an impact across our health system by supporting specialized women’s and children’s services.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead staff engagement through shared governance and patient-centered care delivery.

  • Serve as the unit’s chief retention and safety officer, using data to improve outcomes.

  • Oversee staffing, scheduling, financial performance, and resource allocation.

  • Build strong interdisciplinary relationships, resolve conflicts, and promote a culture of trust.

  • Mentor and develop future nurse leaders while ensuring regulatory and clinical excellence.

  • Drive evidence-based practice, research, and performance improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing — Required
  • Master’s Degree in Nursing — Preferred

Licensure & Certification

  • Active Georgia RN license (or Compact) — Required
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association — Required on first day

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive nursing management experience
  • Proven leadership background in NICU, L&D, or Mother/Baby environments

Skills

  • Strong communicator and relationship-builder across disciplines
  • Knowledge of healthcare finance, risk management, and regulatory standards
  • Expertise in leadership, change management, and staff development
  • Commitment to evidence-based care, quality improvement, and a culture of safety.
