Work Shift

Job Summary:


The Supervisor Embryology provides leadership, training, mentorship, and performance oversight for andrologists and embryologists. Performs all procedures required for IVF cycles, including medium and dish preparation, egg retrieval, sperm preparation, fertilization check, embryo evaluation, cryopreservation and thawing, transfer, ICSI and assisted hatching. Performs all andrology services, including preparation of semen samples for artificial inseminations and IVF, cryopreservation of sperm, and complete sperm analysis assessed by World Health Organization (WHO) standards. Performs laboratory quality control (QC), quality assessment (QA), and participates in quality improvement (QI) programs, record keeping and collection of data. Performs other duties as assigned, and in keeping with company policies, procedures and standards of patient care and initiatives toward continuous improvement at the individual and organizational level. Supports and actively participates in initiatives designed to improve individual and organizational performance.


Required Minimum Education:

  • Bachelors Biology
  • Masters Biology-Preferred


Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):


All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.

    Additional License(s) and Certification(s):


    TS certification within 1 Year Required
    ELS (AAB) or ELD (AAB) certification Upon Hire Required


    Required Minimum Experience:


    Minimum 7 years Embryology and Andrology in human IVF laboratory Required
    Minimum 10 years Embryology and Andrology in human IVF laboratory Preferred


    Required Minimum Skills:


    Experience in cell culture and sterile technique with evidence of completion of 60 complete IVF
    procedures under the continuous supervision of the laboratory director or as labs director.
    Must have performed at least 60 ART procedures under supervision.
    ELS (AAB) or ELD (AAB) certification required upon hire.
    TS certification required within 1 year of hire.
