JOB SUMMARY:
SVSU invites applicants for a tenure-track assistant professor of psychology position to begin July 1st, 2026. Applicants must have acquired their Ph.D. by the time of appointment. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence in teaching and mentoring undergraduates in research and lab courses, as well as an established scholarly record relevant to undergraduate research activities. Teaching responsibilities are in-person, on-campus (24 credit hours/year). Courses will likely include general psychology, experimental psychology, and other courses within the successful candidate’s area of expertise. Specialty area is open, but preference will be given to those with expertise in either personality/social psychology or applied subfields such as industrial/organizational or community psychology. Other responsibilities include academic service and student advising.
