Position Start Date: January 7, 2026

Required Degree: Minimum BA/BS/BFA degree required. A terminal degree in a related field is preferred.

The required degree must be completed by the start date.

Preferred Experience: 

  • Experience with communication with college-level students and collaboration with colleagues in a collegial manner.
  • Teaching technical concepts requires an efficient thinker with a unique and enthusiastic approach to helping students.

Duties/Expectations: 

  • Teach DESPH 116- Intro to Photography to both majors and non-majors using department-approved curriculum.
  • Course instruction includes basic camera operation, exposure techniques, principles and elements of composition, visual communication, digital photographic considerations, motion, videography, and interface with Adobe Lightroom.
  • The position will require lecturing, creating assignments, grading, critiques, communicating/responding to student emails.
  • Not required to hold office hours, attend staff meetings, serve on committees, or mentor students.
