Required Degree: MS in Plant Biology, or related field, required. PhD preferred.
The required degree must be completed by the start date.

Duties/Expectations:
This course satisfies the GE requirement of Global and Cultural Awareness under the Individual and Society section of the University Core. It is designed to give students a global perspective on how medicinal plants have shaped the cultural history of humanity and how they have been used to treat illnesses and diseases in humans. The course concepts will cover issues of conservation, natural history, biodiversity, cultural diversity, and human history as they relate to medicinal plants.
