Required Degree: Masters in physics or astronomy or related field. PhD preferred.
The required degree must be completed by the start date.
Experience: The Department of Physics and Astronomy at Brigham Young University (BYU) in Provo, Utah, invites applications for a faculty position to begin August 2026. Qualifications include a Master's in physics, astronomy or related field, ability to pursue a strong and independent research agenda, and a clear commitment to both undergraduate and graduate teaching.

Duties/Expectations: The duties for this professional faculty position fall into three categories: teaching, demonstration management and development (M&D), and citizenship. While the exact percentages may vary over time due to the needs of the department, the initial estimate is 50% teaching, 40% demonstration M&D, and 10% citizenship.
