Job Title: Adjunct Teaching - Spanish & Portuguese - SPAN 321 & 322

Position Start Date: January 2, 2026

Required Degree: Master's Degree in Spanish Literature, Language, Culture, Pedagogy, or related field is required.

The required degree must be completed by the start date.

Experience:  Professional experience in teaching Spanish and near-native fluency in written and spoken Spanish are required. Experience teaching at the university level is preferred. Familiarity/skills with online teaching and/or technology is a plus.

Duties/Expectations: 

  • The successful candidate will teach from 1 to 3 third-year undergraduate Spanish courses, SPAN 321 & 322.
  • This position requires the adjunct faculty member to hold office hours to meet with students and to be available via email to communicate with students, faculty, and office staff.
  • Other duties may include, but are not limited to, attending meetings and training with the coordinator of third-year instruction, participating in professional development, and any other important events that require the assistance of the adjunct instructor.
  • Participation in the annual Foreign Language Fair in April is required.
