Job Description

Pest Control Worker (part-time 17.5 hours/week)

The Pest Control Worker assists the Pest Control Specialist in pest control for all outdoor areas of campus through application of pesticides, fertilization, and pest management program implementation. The Pest Control Worker is also involved in snow removal duties.

Anticipated Dates: December 2025 through April 2026

What you’ll do in this position:

  • A firm commitment to the mission of BYU.
  • Pest Control on campus                                                                                              
  • Apply pesticides and fertilizers as needed on campus
  • Treat plants for nutrient needs, especially recurring problems
  • Snow Removal                                                                          
  • On call to work within a team scope in assigned snow removal area to clear walks, stairs, roads, plazas, crosswalks and ADA areas, parking lots and as necessary, athletic fields, in a safe and nondestructive manner
  • Operate all equipment and apply chemicals in a safe and effective manner in order to minimize the risk of injury and property damage
  • Interact with campus, MTC, and Church employees and visitors in a professional manner

What qualifies you for this role:

  • Current Drivers License

Preferred

  • One year of experience in landscape pest control and management
  • Licensed in Utah to apply pesticides (or ability to obtain shortly after hire)

Pay: $16.00/hour
