Job Summary:
The Director of Operations for BYU Women’s Volleyball supports the daily administrative and operational needs of a nationally competitive NCAA Division I women’s volleyball program. Working closely with the Head Coach and staff, this role oversees team logistics, travel coordination, scheduling, recruiting support, and special events. The position collaborates with academic services, facilities, and athletic department partners to support student-athlete success and ensure efficient program operations. The Director of Operations upholds BYU’s standards of excellence, integrity, and faith-centered leadership while contributing to a positive, organized, and values-driven team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the logistics of team travel including scheduling, itineraries, pre-departure checklists, and staff/player personal identification
  • Schedule facilities for practices and games for both BYU and visiting teams
  • Provide general administrative assistance to the Head Coach and assistant coaches
  • Ensure consistent, accurate correspondence among staff and players
  • Organize various team banquets and events
  • Provide recruiting support including coordinating mailings, organizing official recruit visits, and educating prospective players/families about BYU and the Honor Code
  • Work closely with the Student-Athlete Academic Center and the athletes’ academic advisors to help players excel academically, athletically, and socially
  • Assist with summer camps, service projects, and other public appearances on behalf of the coaches and team
  • Supervise office staff as appropriate
  • Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach, Sport Administrator, and/or Athletic Director.

What Qualifies You to Apply?

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree (must have required degree by start date)
  • Experience with Division I college or professional volleyball
  • Willingness to uphold and live by the university's Honor Code
  • All new employees who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be required to hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend, which may be verified during the application process.

Preferred

  • Five years Division I college or professional volleyball
