Join a leading healthcare team where your leadership and compassion make a lasting impact. Sentara is seeking a Supervisor of Nursing and Patient Care Services for acute care to help lead our exceptional team on the night shift.
In this vital role, you’ll share 24/7 responsibility with the department manager for ensuring smooth daily operations across one or more clinical areas. You’ll guide and support a dedicated team of healthcare professionals—ensuring patient safety, exceptional care quality, and an outstanding patient and family experience.
What You’ll Do:
Supervise patient care services staff, fostering teamwork and high performance.
Support departmental operations, including budgeting, payroll, and purchasing.
Serve as a clinical and technical resource, mentoring team members and promoting professional growth.
Collaborate in recruiting, developing, and retaining a highly reliable, skilled team.
Assist with staff education, onboarding, and precepting.
Adapt leadership style and communication to effectively meet departmental goals.
What You’ll Need:
Valid RN license in the state(s) of practice.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
