Sentara Rehab Acute and Post Acute is hiring an Education Specialist
The Education Specialist - Rehabilitation at Sentara is responsible for designing, delivering, and managing comprehensive training programs to support the successful onboarding of new employees. This role ensures that all new hires are equipped with the knowledge, tools, and resources needed to integrate smoothly into the organization and perform their roles effectively.
Education
Master’s degree or equivalent in a clinical therapy discipline (Speech-Language Pathology, Physical Therapy, or Occupational Therapy) required.
Certification/Licensure
Basic Life Support (BLS) – Certification – American Heart Association (AHA) RQI
One of the following certifications qualifies:
Speech-Language Pathologist License (SLP) - State license - Virginia Department of Health Professionals (VADHP) OR
Speech-Language Pathologist License (SLP) - State license - North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (NCBOESLPA) OR
Physical Therapist License (PT) - State license - Virginia Department of Health Professionals (VADHP) OR
Physical Therapist License (PT) - State license - North Carolina Board of Physical Therapy Examiners (NCPT) OR
Physical Therapist License (PT) - State license - Physical Therapy Compact Commission (PTCOMPACT) OR
Occupational Therapist License (OT) - State license - Virginia Department of Health Professionals (VADHP) OR
Occupational Therapist License (OT) - State license - North Carolina Board of Occupational Therapy (NCBOT)
Experience
2 years of Speech Language Pathology or Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy experience (Required)

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay rate for Full Time employment is:$79,497.60-$132,496.00. Additional compensation may be available for this role such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.Sentara Independence provides quality outpatient services to the surrounding community. The facility includes an ambulance-accessible emergency room that is supported by board-certified physicians. Sentara Independence houses state-of-the-art medical equipment and highly-skilled physicians and staff. Sentara Independence is now an extension of the quality services at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital including advanced imaging and physical therapy.
