The Magnet Program Manager/Manager Professional Practice possesses extensive knowledge of the organization, reports to and works directly with the CNO as a valued and contributing member of the nursing leadership team to oversee all aspects of the Magnet® application process and through all phases of the appraisal. Key functions include development and oversight of the organization’s timeline, educating leadership and staff, and fostering engagement. Serve as liaison between the organization and the Magnet Program Office. Lead responsibility for additional divisional nursing recognition and excellence programs as prioritized in direct partnership with the CNO. Create balanced, sustainable process of readiness and preparation for all deadlines and timelines. Lead strategic clinical programs/projects for the division. Champion nursing research and evidence-based practice, innovations in nursing, professional development goal achievement, and shared governance structures. Provide leadership for advancement of professional nursing practice. Knowledge of principles and processes associated with evidence-based nursing care required. Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, and techniques required. Ability to assess need for and manage change.
Certification Required
Registered Nurse License (RN) - Nursing License - Compact/Multi-State License
Education Required:
Master’s Degree (MSN preferred)
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing BSN
Experience Required:
3 years of clinical
1 year of leadership
