Pricing Specialist (Hybrid)

To support the corporate Pricing and Coupon processes and strategies, monitor the company's compliance to advertising and established policies and guidelines, verify accuracy and executability of promotions, manage exception reports, resolve merchant and store pricing & coupon issues, and support training initiatives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Execute weekly, monthly and/or seasonal pricing strategies and PLU calendars to support execution of all price changes and coupon offers
  • Partner with merchants to implement strategies and resolve pricing/coupon issues effectively
  • Manage and review compliance reporting to validate weekly pricing accuracy and provide actionable feedback.
  • Audit pricing and coupon execution to ensure accuracy and consistency across stores.
  • Lead and support merchant training for pricing, including new-hire onboarding, refresher sessions, and special events.

  • Publish and maintain the Critical Action List (known to stores as our ‘CAL’)
  • Support the rollout of clearance strategies, MOS events, presell events, and store closings as needed.
  • Partner with IT and cross functional teams to continuously improve processes and ensure execution of strategies
  • Maintain coupon exclusion tables to ensure effective promotional management
  • Build and maintain strong business partnerships that support corporate strategies and enhance communication
  • Support effective communication through Zipline and other corporate communication channels

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience required
  • Retail Experience preferred
  • 1-3 years applicable experience preferred 
  • Specific work or project experience: General knowledge of pricing system and policies preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Ability to operate PC/POS Register/Scanner
  • Works well in a team environment
  • Deadline oriented, organized, and ability to multi task
  • Respond with sense of urgency
  • Strong written, oral communication and analytical skills
  • Strong PC skills (primarily Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
  • Query based system knowledge
