Position Start Date: September 1, 2026
Required Degree: MS or PhD in psychology, neuroscience, or a related field. The required degree must be completed by the start date.
Experience:
Show commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching and mentoring.
Prior experience teaching psychology—particularly an introductory course—is preferred.
Duties/Expectations:
Teach Psych 343: Child Psychopathology.
Have the knowledge and ability to teach the causes, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of psychological disorders in children and adolescents from a developmental psychopathology perspective. Topics include classification of disorders, developmental pathways, and the influence of genetic, family, peer, and broader social systems on mental health.
Prepare students to evaluate research literature and evidence‑based treatment approaches in child and adolescent mental health and (preferably) have experience applying or conducting research in this area.
Instruction should emphasize critical thinking, scientific inquiry, and real-world application.

This course will be taught as an in-person class during Fall Semester 2026 on Tue/Thur 2:00PM-3:15PM.
