Position Start Date: September 1, 2026

Required Degree: Minimum BA/BS/BFA degree required. Terminal degree in related field is preferred. The required degree must be completed by the start date.

Preferred Experience: 

  • Experience with communication with college-level students and collaboration with colleagues in a collegial manner.

  • Teaching technical concepts requires an efficient thinker with a unique and enthusiastic approach to helping students.

Duties/Expectations: 

  • Teach DESPH 394R: Special Topics- Advanced Post-Production/Retouching to majors and non-majors on a part-time basis using department-approved curriculum.

  • Course instruction includes basic camera operation, exposure techniques, principles and elements of composition, visual communication, digital photographic considerations, and interface with Adobe Lightroom.

  • The position will require lecturing, creating assignments, grading, critiques, communicating/responding to student emails.

  • Part-time faculty are not required to hold office hours, attend staff meetings, serve on committees, or mentor students.
