Job Details:

The (HYBRID) Merchandising Project Manager II partners closely with Merchandising leadership to drive execution, activation, and operational rigor across digital merchandising initiatives. This role ensures merchandising strategy, assortment intent, and content priorities are translated into clear plans, on-time delivery, and effective on-site execution across Ecommerce, Digital Commerce, and emerging Agentic Commerce platforms. This role does not own merchandising strategy, but is fully accountable for turning strategy into action, aligning cross-functional partners, mitigating risk, and accelerating performance outcomes through disciplined project management. NOTE: This hybrid role will report to the BedQuarters location in Houston, TX 2-3 days each week and may work remotely the remainder of the week.  

 
Essential Responsibilities 

  • Partner with digital teams to ensure on-site activation aligns to assortment intent (breadth, depth, priorities, hero items). 

  • Assist with evaluation of new digital assortment opportunities, optimization, and rationalization efforts (line reviews, seasonal and promotional transitions). 

  • Translate merchandising direction into clear execution plans, milestones, and deliverables for cross-functional partners. 

  • Serve as the day-to-day coordinator across Merchandising, Digital Category Management, Digital Operations, and Finance/Analytics. 

  • Facilitate working sessions, execution checkpoints, and status updates to maintain alignment and momentum. 

  • Proactively identify execution risks, dependency gaps, or decision blockers and escalate with recommended paths forward. 

  • Develop and maintain project plans, status dashboards, execution recaps, and leadership readouts. 

  • Support post-launch reviews and continuous-improvement discussions tied to merchandising performance. 

  • Maintain documentation supporting merchandising workflows, calendars, and execution guardrails. 

  • Support merchandising department activities and communications as needed (Merch All Hands, Officer Weeks, etc.) 

  • Support execution of comparison and solution-based merchandising pilots tied to the Agentic Commerce workstream. 

  • Coordinate timelines, dependencies, and stakeholder inputs for new digital merchandising capabilities as assigned. 

  • Complete all required training modules and certifications prior to the due date. 

  • Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed for a safe work environment for all.

  • Communicate any concerns or issues to leadership to ensure proper efficiency of department and company operations. 

  • Follow all Company policies and execute Company standards on appearance and functionality as well as appropriate brand representation.

Education 

  • Bachelor's Degree required 

 

Professional Experience 

  • 5+ Years in Project or Program Management with progressively larger responsibility supporting cross-functional teams required

Competencies & Knowledge 

  • Proven experience managing projects. 

  • Proficient in MS Office. 

  • Retail acumen including background in merchandising, planning, or strategic functions. 

  • Experience with project planning applications (Airtable, Power BI, etc.) 

  • Experience working within merchandising, ecommerce, or digital retail environments. 

  • Ability to translate high-level strategy into clear, actionable execution plans. 

 

Licenses and Certifications 

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.

Compensation:

Competitive salary range of $78,000 - $82,000 * depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities may be available and awarded at the discretion of the Company.
