Job Description

The temporary Admissions Representative supports Northland’s recruitment, campus engagement, and student service efforts. The role includes serving as an admissions recruiter through attending college fairs and visiting high schools, coordinating campus visits and tours on the East Grand Forks campus, supporting program and college exploration events campus, and assisting with recruitment initiatives for nontraditional students. This position is expected to last for one year.

  • Provide comprehensive recruitment services college‑wide
  • Complete assigned projects and reports for the Director of Recruitment & Admissions
  • Provide student services support for prospective and current students

Salary Range:

23.98 - 34.69 USD Hourly

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of experience working in a post-secondary education setting or completion of an Associate’s Degree or the equivalent of a two year diploma.
  • Excellent human relations and communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills (written and oral) in order to communicate effectively with students, employees without supervision or review
  • Proficiency with a variety of word processing, database and web-based applications sufficient to accurately collect data and create reports
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision and ability to make decisions independently regarding workload, problems or situations
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and management skills
  • Willing to work as part of a team

Preferred Qualification 

  • Baccalaureate Degree in a related field, i.e. Human Resources, Public Administration, Social Work
  • Experience in higher education
  • Knowledge of public, private, and community social services and resource agencies sufficient to provide referrals to students
  • Knowledge of private data practices and FERPA
  • Knowledge of the functions of Student Services and of Northland Community and Technical College
