About the Role

As a Manual Bending Cell Operator at Zekelman Industries, you will play a key role in producing high-quality conduit elbows by setting up, operating, and monitoring the Unison Bending Cell. This position requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality standards. You will contribute directly to operational efficiency and product excellence by ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.

You will collaborate with production team members and maintenance staff, ensuring the cell operates smoothly and downtime is minimized. This is a full-time, on-site role located in [insert location].

What You’ll Do

• Sets up and operates the Unison Bending Cell, including conveyors, bender, robotic arms, labeling, and box equipment.

• Performs regular inspections using calipers, tape measures, ring gages, and fixtures to ensure product accuracy and quality.

• Troubleshoots, adjusts, and makes minor repairs to equipment using general hand tools.

• Conducts changeovers of tooling and dies as required by production schedules.

• Maintains accurate production and quality records in compliance with company standards.

• Uses overhead hoists, carts, and trolleys to assist with material handling.

• Labels, scans, and stacks finished boxes on skids.

• Monitors and replenishes machine lubricants through visual inspections.

• Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work area.

• Provides overtime coverage as required for vacations and call-offs.

Who You Are

• Previous machine operating experience preferred.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Legal right to work in the United States required.

• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to use general hand tools (wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers, etc.).

• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 100 lbs. and work above shoulder level when operating crane.

• Strong attention to detail with commitment to quality standards.

• Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment.

• Willingness to learn through training and coaching.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Reliable, predictable, full-time onsite attendance required.
