The Telephone Dispatch Operator is responsible for operations like answering internal and external incoming calls and directing them to the appropriate destination. Assists callers with outgoing and transfer calls, overhead paging, code calls and monitoring various fire alarm systems. Maintains updated resource materials and directories, on-call schedules and helps with training new telephone/dispatch employees.

Process incoming and outgoing communications courteously, while maintaining a positive and professional image:
Learn departmental policies, correct procedures as they pertain to alarms and codes in emergency situations:
Processes calls for service of hospital issued pagers, requests for new pagers and replacement pagers:
Maintain safety of visitors and staff:
