GENERAL DUTIES
Coordinates Medical Record processing of facilities onsite documents.
Liaison for physician chart completion and assists physicians when necessary
Performs audits, provides trending reports, works with end users to improve compliance with accuracy of documents in the medical records.
Coordinates Release of Information functions.
Performs all necessary on-site office functions.
Provides education to end users with regards to the medical record.
EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum: Two years of HIM or other related experience with associate degree. No experience required with a bachelor’s degree
Preferred: Epic Experience
EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum: Associate Degree in HIM or other related field
Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in HIM
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
Preferred: Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA)
Preferred: Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT)
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Strong analytical and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize workloads. Meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure. Excellent customer service skills. General office procedures.
Ability to problem solve and work with minimal supervision. Computer experience. Typing ability. Demonstrate the ability to identify and resolve issues independently and communicate effectively with other team members and managers.
