JOB SUMMARY:
Pilates Reformer Instructor designs and leads safe, engaging, and effective group or private reformer sessions tailored to various fitness levels. Responsibilities include providing clear verbal cues, hands-on corrections for proper form, modifying exercises for injuries or special populations, and maintaining equipment cleanliness and safety of all fitness areas. Serves as positive role model for health and wellness.

Availability: Weekdays

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Implements protocols for fitness testing/assessments.
  • Implements exercise prescription following approved guidelines.
  • Lead individual or group personal training and group fitness sessions safely and effectively.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation and paperwork of all personal training sessions and clients.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of fitness environment/equipment.
  • Implements appropriate Quality Assurance Standards.
  • Identifies and implements improvement processes utilizing Accelerated Improvement Process (AIP) and/or Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA).
  • Supports and encourages others to support, the Vision, Mission, and Service Statement of EJGH.
  • Demonstrates competence and knowledge in awareness and care of adults and older adults.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING

  • Comprehensive Pilates Certification with a focus on Reformer (minimum 450+ hours preferred).
  • Previous experience teaching group Reformer classes (often 1–5 years preferred).
  • CPR/AED and First Aid certifications highly preferred, will be required within 30 days of hire.
  • Two years' experience in health/wellness center preferred.
