Analyst, Payment Systems

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Payments System Analyst to support and enhance our payments analytics environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of data between vendors and internal reporting systems, maintaining automation workflows, and supporting fraud and chargeback monitoring. With strong technical foundation, excellent problem-solving skills, and a collaborative mindset.

The candidate must reside within a 50-mile radius of Fenton, MO, and follow a hybrid work model, with three days per week required in the office.

Duties & Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of this job include, but are not limited to:

· Support Payment device software and hardware implementation

· Ensure compliance with PCI data handling and security standards

· Perform analysis of transaction flow to identify and correct problems

· Work with Verifone or similar retail payment hardware

· Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve technical issues

· Leverage centralized logging tools like Dynatrace and Splunk for monitoring

· Work with vendors for project planning and operational issues

· Regular review of credit card fees and downgrade penalties

· Track and analyze chargebacks and fraud-related activity

· Design, build, and maintain reports using Microsoft PowerBI

· Administer and manage workflows in Microsoft PowerAutomate

· Perform light development tasks using .NET technologies

· Manage and optimize databases with intermediate MS SQL Server DBA skills

· Utilize Excel for data analysis and reporting (Intermediate to Advanced level)

· Work with open database platforms such as Postgres and MySQL

· Monitor and facilitate daily data flows from vendors to internal systems

· Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to facilitate the opening of new locations

Qualifications (Education & Experience)

Qualifications include:

· 5+ years of experience in the payments industry

· Strong understanding of data engineering, reporting, and automation

· Experience with payment systems, POS hardware, and PCI security protocols

· Excellent problem-solving, documentation writing, and communication skills

· Some development experience

· Experience in fraud detection and risk analysis related to payment systems

· Understanding of data pipelines and ETL processes

Competitive Pay $86,033 to $120,466 annually.

The actual pay offered will be determined by multiple factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, job-related knowledge, skills, and geographical location. Individual compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
