Job Description Summary:

The University of Kansas Health System, Department of Plastic, Burn and Wound Surgery, is seeking a full-time faculty member to join our team in providing compassionate, high-quality care to our community.

This role includes providing patient care in plastic, burn, and wound surgery, with a special focus on the treatment of complex microsurgery, including breast, lymphedema, head & neck, and extremity.

You will initially spend approximately 90% of your time providing clinical care and related services, including both outpatient and inpatient care of plastic surgery patients, as well as performing surgical procedures.

The role includes teaching and mentoring medical students and residents, with active participation in the educational process. The faculty member will also be involved in clinical and/or basic science research, depending on interests and departmental needs. In addition, the position requires service on academic or administrative committees and participation in other projects or initiatives as assigned by the Department Chair.

Required Qualifications:

  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Plastic Surgery and having completed Fellowships in both Craniofacial and Microsurgery.
