Our Staff Accountant II is responsible for general accounting functions related to the monthly accounting cycle which may include revenue and accounts receivable, fixed assets, liabilities or other general accounting topics. This is a hybrid position onsite at our Corporate HQ in Nashville, TN; Relocation assistance and sponsorship are not available.
Duties include and are not limited to:
Prepare monthly journal entries, analyses and account reconciliations as required to accurately close the monthly fiscal period
Maintain multiple general ledgers
Assist business unit management as needed with financial information requests
Prepare monthly reconciliations for all assigned balance sheet accounts, including documentation to support all balances
Participate in development of and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections
Ensure that all processing and reporting deadlines are consistently achieved
Maintain strictest confidentiality to ensure that privileged and / or proprietary information is adequately safeguarded against disclosure
Other duties as assigned
Qualification for success include:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
3+ year's professional work experience in GL Accounting including general ledger maintenance, account reconciliation and full GL responsibility
Work experience should include full understanding of accounting information systems as well as accounting theory and accounting principles and practices
Industry experience within pharmaceutical, life sciences, biotech, or clinical research highly preferred
Advanced technology skills including Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, all Microsoft Office products and other accounting software
