Position Overview:

The Loan Officer Assistant is responsible for supporting the branch by facilitating key steps in the loan process. This role performs property and ZIP code verifications, orders key items such as employment verifications and flood certificates, and prepares and delivers accurate initial loan disclosures. Working closely with Loan Officers, the Loan Officer Assistant helps to resolve outstanding loan approval conditions by gathering required documents from borrowers and third parties.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Open escrow for refinance transactions and coordinate required fees, documentation, and communications with escrow, borrowers, and relevant third parties.
  • Order verifications and clearances including Verification of Employment (VOE), USPS address verification, and flood certificates.
  • Enter and maintain file contact information in Encompass for real estate agents and escrow officers.
  • Request updated borrower needs lists via Blend and follow up by email to gather outstanding documentation and information.
  • Perform property and ZIP code verifications to confirm property details and serviceability, including USPS checks.
  • Prepare and deliver initial loan disclosures ensuring accuracy and timely distribution to borrowers.
  • Order evidence of insurance (EOI) by coordinating with borrowers and insurance providers to obtain and verify coverage documentation that meets lender requirements.
  • Order appraisals through the AMC by submitting appraisal requests, coordinating access and schedules, and tracking delivery to ensure timely receipt of compliant appraisal reports.
  • Request tax transcripts from appropriate agencies to support loan file documentation.
  • Notify borrowers of required signatures by alerting them when disclosures or documents requiring signing have been issued.
  • Work with Loan Officers to track and resolve outstanding approval conditions by coordinating with borrowers and third parties to obtain required documents.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 2+ years of experience as a Loan Officer Assistant or a similar role in financial services.
  • Experience using Encompass loan origination software, preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Pay Range: 

  • Hourly Rate: $26.44-28.84.

  • Eligible for monthly bonus incentive based on production.

  • The posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position
