Background on the Team
The Global Centers (GC) are a collection of Morgan Stanley offices around the world that act as a global capabilities network servicing all regions and time zones. Critical to our future workforce strategy, they provide specialized business functions and high-quality talent in strategic locations including Alpharetta, Baltimore, Bengaluru, Budapest, Glasgow, Montreal, Mumbai and Salt Lake.
The GC Management team is responsible for driving the strategic agenda of the site and are integral to ensuring each center has the optimal structure, governance and environment to enable business units to perform the roles and responsibilities they need to be successful.
We are seeking a Director level resource to support the Morgan Stanley Baltimore COO. This role supports the rhythm of business for the COO office, including facilitating sitewide communications, event and key meeting planning, site governance and expense management. This role will engage with key internal stakeholders and other infrastructure teams as well as the other US Global Center COO support/site engagement teams.
Primary Responsibilities
Develop and execute the site communication strategy, including sitewide newsletters, emails and web content, as well as input into digital branding, marketing and other external campaigns
Drive all aspects of event management for the site including idea generation, planning, marketing, logistics and budget management. Events include employee networking activities, senior visitor engagements, public events, charitable engagements and senior management meetings.
Support initiatives which drive culture and enhance the employee experience, including open forums, fairs and expos, etc.
Support site operations and governance, including risk management, space planning and operational efficiency
Provide communications, marketing and budget support for the Baltimore Committees and Employee Networks
Support the budgeting and expense management process, including budget planning, the expense approval process, payment processing and expense tracking and reporting
Support the preparation of reports and presentations for key stakeholders and visitors
Contribute to communications, events, and expense management tasks and special projects for other US Global Centers as needed

Candidates must have:
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with a broad range of stakeholders in a mature and professional manner
Excellent judgement, initiative, and adherence to deadlines
Sharp attention to detail
Proactive self-starter with a strong sense of accountability/ownership and ability to work independently
Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work with stakeholders and deliver within time constraints
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively (both orally and in writing), tailoring the message to the audience as needed
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Ability to track expenses and monitor spend within a budget
Experience with building and/or maintaining internal websites and collaboration tools (Jive, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, HTML)
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Salary range for the position: $70,000-$125,000/Yr. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
