Job Description :
Job Purpose
- Responsible for the management and administration of all non-DICOM associated Clinical Systems which communicate (Send & Receive) HL7 data to the Health System Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Clinical Systems being defined as on-premises cloud-based systems which are designed to collect vital signs or other clinical data from biomedical devices and forward that data to the Health System Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Act as a liaison in clinical equipment initiatives within patient care departments, other hospital departments, medical staff and other enterprise partners.
- Demonstrates Knowledge and Understanding of Clinical System Design and Deployment: Receiving general direction from the Assistant Vice-President of Biomedical Engineering and Team-Leader for Integrated Clinical Systems. The Clinical Systems Administrator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating existing system operation and participating in new integrated Clinical System initiatives.
- Supports the mission, vision, values and strategic goals of Methodist Health System.
Job Requirements:
Education:
- Graduate of an academically accredited Biomedical Engineering Technical program
Licenses and/or Certifications:
Work Experience:
- 3 years’ experience in Clinical Device integration.
- Basic understanding of Clinical Devices inter-operate in a networked environment.
- Basic understanding of HL7 messaging
