POSITION SUMMARY:
The School of Business and Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Superior invites applications for the faculty position of tenure-track Assistant Professor of Finance. The school is seeking individuals who will provide excellent undergraduate instruction, incorporate current techniques in teaching and research, and work collaboratively to strengthen the school's business programs.
JOB DUTIES:
- Provide quality teaching and advise students within the School of Business and Economics (SBE), perform services to the SBE and university, and engage in scholarly activities.
- Take a leading role in developing and teaching courses both on-campus and online for the Business Administration, Finance concentration, as well as other business courses as needed.
- This position requires an on-campus presence.
- Committed to building community among students and faculty within SBE and the university.

Required Qualifications:
- PhD earned by August 27, 2025, from a school/college accredited by the AACSB or similar accrediting body with a curricular emphasis in the field of Finance or a closely related field.
- Instructor of record for at least one semester teaching Finance or a closely related field in-person and/or online in higher education.
- Evidence of quality scholarship leading to regular publications and engagement in scholarly activities in relevant professional societies and public outreach.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completed PhD from a school/college accredited by the AACSB or similar accrediting body with a curricular emphasis in the field of Finance.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or other similar certification.
- At least two years of teaching Finance in-person and/or online in higher education.
- Experience with using a variety of teaching methods in a classroom.
- Experience in online curriculum development.
- A proven track record of scholarly accomplishments or a well-developed research agenda.
- Experience engaging with the business community.
