Mission: 

This role will be responsible for working with Ascent Strategic Partners to drive awareness, demand, and joint sales of Ascent services by building relationships, channel management, and co-sales enablement. The ideal candidate will understand the sales cycles of the strategic partner, will drive to understand their priorities, and work to match Ascent capabilities to meet their goals. The role will also need to understand the partners’ programs and support efforts to drive collaborative sales.  

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Support the channel strategy in the territory/region. 

  • Work closely with Ascent sales leadership to align goals. 

  • Build measurable business plans to define partnership goals and success.  

  • Goals should align with Ascent Leadership 

  • Goals should align with individuals and appropriate sales leaders at the Strategic Partner 

  • Work closely with Marketing to build partner collateral, events, and other relevant content. 

  • Provide regular updates to Ascent Sales and Ascent leadership against quarterly goals. 

  • Be responsible for all partner-lead opportunities from identification/pre-qualify to Sales Qualified Lead and support responsible sales team to closure.  

  • Articulate Microsoft goals and trends to Strategic Alliances and key supporting departments within Ascent 

  • Update and maintain all business in Ascent’s CRM system. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years or equivalent experience of Business Development, Partnerships, or Cybersecurity Sales 

  • Experience supporting the growth of a partner sales team. 

  • Experience in the Microsoft Security ecosystem 

  • Understanding of Microsoft as an overall organization 

  • Understanding the Distributor, reseller, and MSP ecosystem

  • Ability to collaborate across Ascent’s organization. 

  • Strong written and verbal communication 

  • Ability to present to audiences of all sizes, in person or remote. 

Salary range is expected at $80,000-$90,000 plus bonus incentive plan.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods of time

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times

  • Must be able to be on call for emergencies occurring outside of normal business hours
