Responsible for overseeing the daily operations and management of the Family Court and Protection from Abuse (PFA) departments.
Supervises Family and PFA court supervisors and is responsible for managing the case flow of custody, divorce, and dependency hearing officers.
Acts as the point of contact for the Common Pleas family court judges regarding recusals and related issues.
Develops and implements case flow management systems, monitors case flow, and suggests ways to improve case flow in Family and PFA Courts.
Enhances the family court process and procedures through technology updates and staff training and development.
Participates in the Domestic Violence Task Force as a liaison for the District Court Administrator and the President Judge.
Serves as the point of contact with the Prothonotary Office, Clerk of Courts Office, Family Court Office, and the PFA Office.
Undertakes special projects, prepares reports, and compiles statistical data for the District Court Administrator and President Judge, and ensures that statistical information is being kept in a timely and efficient manner.
Participates in Family Court meetings and is responsible for implementing necessary improvements within the system.
Acts as the Court Records Retention Officer, offering policy guidance to court departments regarding the proper retention and disposal of records, and submits annual reports to AOPC.
Performs other duties assigned by the President Judge and/or District Court Administrator.
Bachelor’s degree in Judicial, Business, or Public Administration, or a closely related field; PLUS
Three years of experience in court management or four years of varied office management work, including professional-level experience in budgeting, procurement, and human resource management.
An equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training may be considered.
Satisfactory criminal background check required.
