Essential Functions Statement(s):
• Provide for a safe and manicured environment for students, employees and campus visitors.
• Perform mowing, trimming, and weed-eating on campus.
• Perform athletic facilities maintenance practices, including painting, marking, dragging and other cultural maintenance field practices.
• Perform campus recyclable and non-recyclable removal.
• Snow removal tasks when necessary.
• Assist of Facilities Management teams as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education:
• High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
Experience:
• One or more-year(s) experience in landscape maintenance, turf maintenance or tree care.
• Experience working in a team-oriented environment.
Communication/Language:
• Basic: Ability to read, listen to and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write and communicate simple correspondence.
• Excellent oral communication skills are required.
Math Ability:
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Computer Skills:
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Gmail, Google, and Outlook.
• Ability to learn and effectively use ADP time keeping system.
Certificates & Licenses:
• Valid United States driver’s license required.
Other Requirements:
• Must be able to relate well with others and be a motivated individual.
• Must be willing to learn proper mowing techniques to ensure safety of students, faculty, staff and campus property.
• Ability to communicate effectively within leadership, other technicians, and client audiences.
• Ability to produce a quality work product in a prompt, safe and efficient manner.
