Position Summary
•  Psychiatry-certified Advanced Practice Provider responsible for patient care
within the medical group under the supervision of an attending physician.
•  Outpatient clinic setting M-F 8a-5p
•  Telehealth strongly utilized
•  Call rotation with other APPs
•  Well established service line with no locums


Principal Accountabilities
•  Standards of Performance: Respect, Integrity, Compassion, Collaboration,

Education
•  Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from a CAHEA
accredited program
•  Master’s Degree or doctorate degree in Advanced Practice Nursing Studies from a CCNEA accredited program.


Licenses and Certification
•  Current Illinois Licensed Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Nurse
•  Current NCCPA certificate as a Physician Assistant or AACC certificate as an
Advanced Practice Nurse
•  Current CAQ-Psych as a Physician Assistant or current PHMNP as an Advanced Practice Nurse
•  Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Nurse practitioner-controlled substance licensure
•  Current DEA registration

Experience
•  Technical Experience: 3 years


Physical Activities
•  Intermittent hand manipulation required
•  Intermittent lifting and carrying of 50 pounds.


Working Conditions:

Works in a heated, air-conditioned office with routine office noise. Operates a personal computer and general office equipment. Also works on patient care units. Operates medical equipment. Occasional exposure to moderate environmental variations and limited exposure to hazardous or potentially injurious elements or conditions.

Role Specific Responsibilities
o Responsible for patient care under the supervision of an attending physician.
o Participates in service line planning and coordination.
o Counsel and instruct patients and significant others as appropriate.
o Act as a liaison between healthcare providers, the patient, family and payers
o Initiate referral to appropriate physician or other health care professional of
problems that exceed the scope of practice.
o Provides consultation and recommendations with collaborating providers
o Assures the program meets professional and regulatory standards.
o Provides immediate response to physician and patient phone calls
o Responsible for accurately completing records, daily quality assurance and
improvement information, meeting regulatory standards. Obtains and documents patient history information
o Completes education necessary to maintain licensure or certification required for position
o Implements care/service that recognizes age/diversity specific needs/issues of customers served.

Compensation (Commensurate with experience):

$107,120.00 - $184,995.20
