The Lead Manager, Home Equity Originations is responsible for the management of the day-to-day activity and tasks of the Home Equity activities. The Lead Manager will ensure member and employee experience is a priority; monitor adherence to procedures and policies; manage business systems and process enhancements; and coordinate resources for projects.
In this position, you will
- Manage, develop, and direct Home Equity Managers and their staff. Responsibilities include oversite of the Home Equity application intake, contact center, processing, approval and closing functions. This includes working closely with department Underwriters and the Servicing Unit to ensure applications are effectively disbursed to the core.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows, system processes and vendor services.
- Monitor home equity pipelines daily to ensure loans are processed and closed efficiently and in accordance with regulatory and secondary market requirements; product guidelines and Underwriting Standards; and department SLAs.
- Ensure members and critical partners are being served at the highest level possible; and employee engagement is a priority.
- Coordinates regulatory changes, stays aware of upcoming changes, works with internal and external compliance personnel, requests updates to forms and documents, updates procedures, trains managers and staff on changes, tracks processes to ensure on-going compliance.
- Develop and provide production reports. Review and/or request reports needed to ensure all data points are reportable to monitor for performance, SLAs, and staffing.
- Assist with product development and department projects including third party vendors. Ensure system features are being utilized appropriately and seek enhancements for process improvements.
- Assist with marketing efforts to promote products and educate members and other stakeholders on the home equity product features.
- Collaborate with SMEs and appropriate stakeholders to coordinate resources for system testing and projects, report findings, communicate changes to appropriate staff.
- Must comply with and meet all requirements regarding the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act (SAFE Act, 12 CFR 365).
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelors (Required)
Any equivalent combination of experience and education. | Not Required
Experience in supervising employees. | Required
Five years’ experience in home equity or mortgage lending in an organization of comparable size and complexity as PSECU. | Required
Trained in the use of automated underwriting systems. | Required
