This Opportunity:
SEH is growing in Wichita and we are looking for a client-focused civil engineer interested in joining our talented SEH team. This is a visible role where you’ll manage projects, lead key design decisions, and help build a team and office culture as our newly opened Wichita office expands across the region. This is an opportunity to join and grow a career with an employee-owned national firm as we rapidly expand our presence in new markets and geographies!
This opportunity is open to candidates residing in Wichita, KS or surrounding areas with ability to travel for client meetings, as needed.
Develop, coordinate, and help direct civil municipal and private projects for a variety of clients
Maintain close relationships with clients throughout development of projects and after completion
Prepare project approaches, scopes and fees required to complete projects
Present proposals to clients, interview for projects as part of a team, and select project teams
Determine major project design decisions in conjunction with client and internal team
Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or other related engineering field of study
Registered as a Professional Engineer in the state of Kansas
Experienced with design, construction and management of civil municipal projects
Demonstrated experience in client management; ability to lead and mentor junior staff
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum of six (6) years previous experience
Previous experience managing civil municipal projects
Previous experience managing a staff and serving as a technical mentor for junior level staff
Current affiliation and/or membership with local, state or national Civil Engineering societies and associations

Base compensation is expected to be in the range of $95,000 and $132,000 based on skill set and experience. Check out our full benefits package at SEH Hiring Journey.
