Hourly Rate - $15.00
 

Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
•    Complies with established safety policies and procedures and other regulations as applicable.
•    Instructs/provides direction to Slitting Assistants. Performs Slitting Assistant job duties, as needed.
•    Reads and produces according to production schedule.
•    Interprets production documents (i.e. spec sheet, color target).
•    Performs job setup (including vent unit)/changeover.
•    Operates/troubleshoots slitter.
•    Performs quality checks.
•    Reports/corrects nonconforming issues, including the removal of flagged defective material.
•    Records/tracks production output and scrap.
•    Reports runtime vs. downtime.
•    Maintains retain samples.
•    Maintains slitter and notifies Converting Team Lead to generate work orders.
•    Cleans and ensures the department is maintained in an orderly fashion.
•    Performs other related duties as assigned.


The ideal candidate shall possess the following:
•    High School Diploma or GED required.
•    Basic computer skills, required. Experience with web-based software and ERP systems required.
•    Basic math skills, required. Must pass the New Hire Base Assessment Test, which measures basic arithmetic and mechanical aptitude.
•    Able to operate basic tools and measuring devices (tape measure, scale, etc.).
•    Ability to read, write and speak in the English language to the extent necessary to effectively communicate and interpret instructions.
•    Minimum of 1 year slitting experience in a manufacturing environment required.
•    12-hour shift work experience preferred.
