The Director of Deposit Strategy & Non-Interest Income is responsible for leading the strategic direction, development, and execution of PSECU’s deposit and non-interest income portfolios. This role oversees a high-performing team of individual contributors, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous growth to deliver on strategic objectives.

With a focus on sustainable growth and member-centric innovation, the Director defines and champions the vision for deposit product strategy, ensuring a balanced and resilient portfolio. Additionally, the role leads the formulation and implementation of product and serviced-focused non-interest income initiatives that deliver long-term value and financial performance.

Partnering closely with Finance, Marketing, Digital Experience, Risk, and Technology & Operations, the Director ensures that deposit and fee-based offerings are optimized to support enterprise goals. The ideal candidate brings a strategic mindset, deep product expertise, and a track record of delivering measurable results through innovation, analytics, and disciplined execution.
Schedule: Monday - Friday with 60% onsite.

In this position, you will

Strategic Product Leadership

  • Lead the development and execution of the strategic roadmap for PSECU’s deposit products and non-interest income offerings, ensuring alignment with enterprise growth, profitability, and member value objectives.
  • Guide the team in translating strategy into actionable plans, fostering innovation and continuous improvement across product lines.

Deposit Product Portfolio Oversight & Optimization

  • Oversee the health and performance of the deposit portfolio, understanding cost of funds, product mix, and long-term balance sheet needs.
  • Direct team efforts in deposit product portfolio analysis and optimization to support financial resilience and member satisfaction
  • Lead the re-design and ongoing management and optimization of the deposit product portfolio including the potential for relationship rewards, feature & functionality adjustments and pricing proposals.

Opportunity Identification & Execution

  • Lead the identification, evaluation, and implementation of new non-interest income opportunities through strategic partnerships, product enhancements, pricing strategies, and fee structures.
  • Empower the team to explore and pilot innovative solutions that drive incremental revenue and member engagement.
  • Oversight and ultimately own the fee schedule and key non-interest income categories as well as the organizational strategy to increase non-interest income.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Alignment

  • Lead collaboratively as a strategic partner with Finance, ensuring deposit strategies support liquidity, capital planning, and interest rate risk management.
  • Lead the collaboration with Marketing, Digital Experience, MXCC, and Retail & Sales Delivery to enhance product positioning, improve member engagement, and drive adoption.
  • Champion cross-functional alignment to ensure cohesive execution of product and income strategies.
  • Deposit Leadership voice on ALCO committees, including Deposit ALCO working group, Operational ALCO and Management ALCO, also presenting to the Board and Board ALCO as needed.

Market Intelligence & Member Insights

  • Direct the use of competitive analysis, market trends, and member insights to inform product design, pricing, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Ensure the team maintains a strong external orientation and member-first mindset in all product decisions.

Performance Management & Reporting

  • Lead the development and oversight of performance tracking frameworks for deposit growth, member penetration, and non-interest income contribution.
  • Ensure transparency and accountability through regular reporting and insights-driven decision-making.

Enterprise Planning & Strategic Contribution

  • Serve as a key voice in enterprise planning efforts, contributing to financial forecasting, strategic initiatives, and long-range business planning.
  • Represent deposit and non-interest income strategies in ALCO committees and meetings as well as executive and Board-level discussions and planning forums.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of individual contributors, fostering a high-performance culture focused on strategic execution, innovation, and professional growth.
  • Set clear goals, provide ongoing feedback, and support career development to build organizational capability and bench strength.

Qualifications:

Bachelors: Business Administration, Bachelors: Finance, Bachelors: Marketing, Bachelors (Required), Masters

Any equivalent combination of experience and education. | Required
Demonstrated experience and success in product design in a financial/banking environment, or any equivalent combination of experience and education. | Required
Ten years’ experience in the field of product management, strategy, or related experience with PSECU in a position requiring similar knowledge, skills, and abilities. | Required
