About the Role
Family First Homecare is seeking a proactive, creative, and highly technical HRIS, Compensation & Benefits Manager to help shape our Total Rewards strategy and optimize how we support our teams across 24+ locations. This is a highly visible role that sits at the intersection of technology, data, and people, and it’s critical to how we scale equitably and efficiently.
You’ll own the day-to-day administration and strategic optimization of our Workday system, benefits programs, and compensation structures. You’ll build smarter systems, simplify complex concepts, and ensure we stay compliant and competitive, while helping employees actually understand and access the tools that support the management of people and their well-being.
What You’ll Do
Compensation & Job Architecture
Conduct market pricing, job analysis, and salary benchmarking to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness
Build and maintain compensation structures, job levels, and incentive programs
Support quarterly bonus cycles, performance-based pay, and promotion frameworks
Review and approve compensation changes, offers, and equity adjustments with speed and accuracy
Benefits Administration & Optimization
Own the day-to-day operations of all health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, HSA, EAP, wellness)
Partner on plan design, ACA compliance, open enrollment strategy, and 401(k) administration
Identify creative ways to increase benefits engagement and optimize our level-funded plans
Respond to benefits escalations with empathy, clarity, and solutions-oriented thinking
HRIS Systems & Reporting
Serve as the Workday SME, maintaining system configurations, eligibility rules, backend processes, and workflow automation.
Proactively maintain and document SOPs, knowledge transfer materials, and system processes to ensure continuity and transparency.
Develop dashboards and ad hoc reports that provide actionable insights for leadership and HR teams.
Lead Workday-related projects, optimizing existing processes and identifying efficiency opportunities.
Ensure data integrity, system cleanliness, and compliance across all employee lifecycle transactions.
Communication & Employee Experience
Create clear, compelling content and tools that help employees understand their total rewards package
Reduce inbound questions by proactively automating FAQs, building intuitive guides, and enabling self-service
Educate managers and HRBPs to use Workday and benefits tools effectively; Create intuitive guides, playbooks, and SOPs for HRBPs, managers, and employees to reduce ambiguity and build self-sufficiency.
Support culture-building initiatives including recognition, wellness, and employee education
Collaborate across teams with empathy, clarity, and a low-ego, solutions-oriented approach.
Support additional HR initiatives, projects, or responsibilities as needed to meet the evolving needs of the team and organization.
You’ll Thrive in This Role If You…
Bring 5+ years of experience in Total Rewards and HRIS/HR analytics with at least 3 years in Workday
Have strong technical proficiency in Workday, especially in benefits, comp, eligibility rules, and business office functionality
Are an Excel superuser who can build models, analyze trends, and clean messy data sets with ease
Have home health, healthcare, or high-compliance industry experience (strongly preferred)
Communicate with clarity and confidence—especially when translating complexity into digestible, actionable guidance
Are fast-moving, solutions-oriented, and naturally curious about how things work (and how to make them better)
Get energy from solving problems, automating where possible, and scaling what works
Thrive in a collaborative, low-ego environment where knowledge is shared freely and learning is ongoing
PAY PHILOSOPHY:
The typical starting rate for this role is based on several factors, including skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. The full pay range is reflective of the competitive labor market.
