SUMMARY

Assist the inbound and outbound managers with day-to-day operations of the Inbound, Inventory Control, and Returns departments within the Distribution Center.  Ensures that the highest quality of work is performed to support the Peter Millar mission of providing top-notch customer service.  This position assigns work, prioritizes tasks, manages teams, and audits work to build efficiency and productivity. 

Work Schedule:
This position is scheduled to work from 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM or until the completion of the shift, based on operational needs.

Compensation:
This role is eligible for an annual bonus program, with incentive payouts awarded once per year in addition to base compensation.

                                           

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Monitors workflow in the assigned areas and help Manager establish priorities.
  • Monitors productivity and regularly holds coaching conversations with team leads and associates to meet the standards of the operation
  • Ensures that cleanliness of the workspaces and monitors equipment, keeping all tools and equipment clean and in safe, operational condition.
  • Sets daily driver goals and flows staffing between functions to ensure these goals are met
  • Leadership:
    • Trains and monitors employees on methods for efficient operation
    • Trains and monitors employees on methods and use of equipment (knifes, carts, pallet jacks, conveyor)
    • Executes plans to develop Distribution Center associates by internal/on-job training for both new and existing employees.
    • Assigns or re-assigns tasks to associates as needed based on work priorities within the department, focusing on productivity and quality of work. 
    • Ensures that all personnel perform their duties in a safe and efficient manner.
    • Supports Company and department initiatives through effective communication.
  • Audits and root causes inventory errors to ensure proper accountability is maintained and taking corrective actions in work method or individual focus
  • Collaborates with other Inbound supervisor(s) to maintain effective use of staffing in each building
  • Coordinate and facilitate audits with the finance team
  • Works and communicates effectively with all company team members (Distribution Center, Front Office, Raleigh, and Durham teams) to deliver expected results.

DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Experience of 2 to 3 years in distribution center or logistics
  • 2 years’ experience as a leader or supervisor.
  • Proficient with Windows based systems required.
  • WMS experience highly desired
  • Proficient with MS Office applications – Word/Excel required
