Job Summary
Under general supervision, performs electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair duties following established procedures to ensure safe, reliable, and code compliant facility operations. Supports production efficiency by reducing downtime, maintaining equipment reliability, and ensuring adherence to NEC, OSHA, NFPA, and company safety standards. Works independently and collaboratively with maintenance, engineering, and operations teams to support facility upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Functions

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, and control systems in accordance with NEC and local codes.
  • Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions using diagnostic tools.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical and production equipment.
  • Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams.
  • Inspect electrical components and systems to identify hazards or deficiencies.
  • Document all repairs, maintenance, and inspections in CMMS.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and operations teams.
  • Respond to emergency repair needs safely and efficiently.

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Completion of electrical apprenticeship or equivalent.
  • Journeyman Electrician license.
  • 3+ years electrical experience.
  • Knowledge of NEC, OSHA, NFPA.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics.
  • Proficiency using diagnostic equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master Electrician license.
  • Industrial automation or PLC troubleshooting experience.
  • Manufacturing or high‑volume production experience.
  • Familiarity with CMMS.
  • NFPA 70E or similar certification.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, ladder climbing, confined‑space work.
  • The employee must be able to occasionally lift and/or apply up to 50 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.
  • Able to work in hot, cold, loud, or demanding environments with PPE.
  • Safety shoes must be worn at all times for this position.
