Program Overview: 

The goal of SBYS is to help youth successfully navigate their adolescent years, acquire the skills needed to obtain employment or continue their education, and graduate healthy and drug-free.  The program implements prevention and intervention programs that are comprehensive, multifaceted, and build on the strengths of young people and assist them in achieving their educational and life goals. 

 

Position Summary

Provide supervisory oversight and management of school-based staff and model to ensure alignment with school-based operations manual. As an integrated health organization Acenda values the use of evidence-based practice or EBP's. 

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

  • Maintain constant communications with AVP around team functioning and service delivery;   
  • Empower the team by modeling strong leadership and conveying the philosophy and principles of SBYS;   
  • Create a climate that supports the dynamic interaction and participatory process of the team and encourages the establishment of team identity;  
  • Ensure equal distribution of team responsibilities;   
  • Keep the team focused to complete daily organizational meetings efficiently and effectively;   
  • Coordinate data collection and review the completion of all documentation, including clinical assessments;  
  • Provides effective supervision of staff in accordance with established Supervision Protocols on agency public documents; 
  • Address performance issues with staff in a professional and timely manner; 
  • Ensure staff function in accordance with Program Manual and agency policies and procedures; 
  • Timely conducts annual employee performance evaluations of staff; 
  • Uses supervision effectively to explore professional development and training needs. 

Responsibilities:  

  • Develop programming and community partnerships to support the school system, youth and administration.  
  • Serve as a liaison to the school and to the community collaborating with state, community and volunteer agencies that provide services related to youth and families.  
  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy to students in a school setting as needed.  
  • Provide professional development, support, and consultation services within the school district. Participate in an interdisciplinary team to support students within identified school districts. Participate in innovative initiatives designed to engage schools in care and treatment. 
  • Provides emotional support, appropriate intervention strategies, and adjusts services accordingly. 
  • Upholds ethical standards in accordance with the Social Work Code of Ethics. 
  • Educates self on issues impacting the program population. 
  • Conducts self in a professional manner that positively reflects the agency culture. 
  • Operates according to program manual 
  • Meets communication, supervisory, program quality, and client interaction requirements as outlined in program manual 
  • Submits documentation within program requirements. 
  • Operates conscientiously in accordance with program budget (i.e., use of client engaging funds, office supplies). 
  • Demonstrates competent written and verbal communication with referral sources and external customers. 
  • Follows program policies and procedures and encourages the same in others. 
  • Performs other related duties as assigned. 

 

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Master’s Degree with 2 years supervisory experience and a history of working in collaboration with youth and community. Preferred Associate License i.e.: LAC, LSW or LMFT.  
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record  
  • Must be able to exercise independent thinking and good judgment under all circumstances. 
  • Must be able to analyze work, set goals, develop plans and utilize time effectively and efficiently. 

 

Additional Information

  • Base rate: $ 55,000-$60,000; depending on licensure
  • Bilingual Rate: An additional $3,120 added to the base rate if Spanish proficient.
