Wilson & Company is seeking a registered Water/Wastewater engineer with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the engineering consulting industry to join our team as a Senior Engineer / Project Manager for sustainable design of municipal infrastructure projects involving the treatment and supply of potable water, as well as the treatment and disposal of wastewater and sewage. The Senior Engineer will lead the technical delivery, client management and business development, and personnel elements of the rapidly growing water/wastewater team within the greater Salt Lake area and develop strong working relationships among other Wilson and Company sectors as well as water/wastewater teams across the firm.

This position requires a Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license, with experience in Water/Wastewater leading the full spectrum design of municipal infrastructure projects involving water services, advanced wastewater treatment, reclaimed/reuse water solutions, and system modeling.  You will be responsible for managing multiple large multi-disciplinary projects and overseeing design teams responsible for project completion. Additionally, you will work with other senior engineers and operations leaders to coordinate workload allocation at the project level and provide progress updates on project status.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide technical direction and supervision to licensed and non-licensed engineers, designers, and other production personnel who collectively range widely in experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of engineering studies, reports, and design requirements needed to complete projects.
• Design of water systems such as storage tanks, booster pump station, transmission and distribution lines, groundwater wells, and water treatment facilities.
• Design of wastewater systems including collection systems, lift stations, force mains, and wastewater treatment processes.
• Design of effluent reuse systems such as tertiary filtration, storage, disinfection, pumping, and distribution.
• Familiarity and/or experience with federal and state funding programs for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Lead the marketing and business development efforts for the water/wastewater team.

Required Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited college or university.
• Master’s degree in a field directly relevant to water and wastewater treatment is considered a plus.
• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in municipal water infrastructure design.
• Active licensure in the state of Utah (or ability to obtain).
• Active licensure in other rocky mountain states a plus.
• Experience in the use of Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D for design plan production.
• Experience with modeling software, such as WaterCAD and SewerCAD is a plus.

Annual Salary Range: $115,000 - $200,000+ (Depending on Experience)
