Who We Are

CardWorks Servicing, LLC provides end-to end operational servicing functions for credit cards, secured cards, and installment loans. We service consumer and small business loans across the credit spectrum and offers backup servicing and due diligence services to capital providers and trustees.
Merrick Bank is an FDIC-insured Utah Industrial Loan Bank. Merrick operates three main business lines: credit cards, recreational lending, and merchant services.
Carson Smithfield, LLC provides a variety of post-charge-off debt recovery services, including digital self-service, IVR, live agent, and external agency management.
Position Summary:
The Data Engineer works closely with our Data Scientists to deploy and operationalize the machine learning models, statistical models, and advanced statistical analytical solutions for the bank. Core responsibilities include enhancing the speed and accuracy of analytics through improved data access, data processing, data quality controls, automation, integration, documentation, and end‑to‑end model deployment and management.
Data Engineering and Data Science are deeply technical disciplines that rely on a broad, cross‑disciplinary skill set spanning software engineering, statistical analysis, and modern data infrastructure.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Manages and enhances system infrastructure, data pipelines, model deployment workflows, and process automation of across analytics and production environments.
Ensures rigorous quality assurance for data processes and the modeling team’s codebase.
Improves the data environment to increase speed, reliability, and ease of access.
Documents all data, processes and models developed or used by the business unit.
Strengthens the speed and accuracy of analytics by optimizing data access, quality controls, automation, system integration, documentation, and end‑to‑end model deployment and management for the Data Science and Modeling team.
Leads and executes data engineering initiatives that support and maintain ETL processes and data pipelines for the Data Science and Modeling team, while providing data engineering expertise and best practices across the organization.
