Compensation will be commensurate with the level of the position, education, and experience.

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Mathematics department is seeking a positive, supportive, and dynamic Mathematics Instructor to teach a diverse community of learners. Preference will be given to candidates who are committed to student success, a commitment to equity, inclusion, and the use of the classroom experience to enhance workplace understanding and performance.

Teach with excellence a full range of mathematics coursework. Participate collaboratively in curriculum review and development, outcomes assessment, advisory council activities, projects, and other department or College activities.

Master’s degree in Mathematics or related discipline with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the discipline.

Higher education/community college/high school teaching experience preferred.

  • 177 day, 9-month contract.
  • May include day, evening and/or weekend classes and may involve travel to other campuses.
  • A teaching demonstration is required as part of the interview process.
  • Position is contingent upon MCC Board of Governors approval
  • Hiring process includes passing a background check.
