ROLE EXPECTATIONS

Working closely with the Director of Slot Operations & Keno. The Slot Assistant Shift Manager will play an important role by managing the Slot department during the assigned shift. Ensure that all areas are staffed and directs all Slot personnel throughout the shift. Serves as a witness on major jackpots. Maintain the highest standards of Guest service and integrity in the Slot department. Ensure day to day operations are in compliance with local Gaming Regulations and Title 31 requirements.

ROLE EXPECTATIONS

Responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:

  • Oversee department operations during the assigned shift to insure exceptional guest service. Assist guests and Slot Team Members with jackpots,
  • Witness all major jackpots.
  • Communicate with guests, answer questions, and resolve disputes. Implement all Casino procedures relating to Slot Operations and monitor areas for cleanliness.
  • Perform special assignments as assigned by Slot Operations Manager or Slot Director.
  • Manages human resource responsibilities to include training, issuing discipline and ensure the proper documentation of all actions taken for assigned staff members.
  • Protect the confidentiality of company files and documents under immediate control.
  • Manage operational functions of the Slot department consistent with the strategic plan and vision of the department, and property.
  • Ability to lead & mentor a team.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position supervises hourly Slot Department Team Members

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum age requirement is 21.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience within a gaming property is preferred.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Effectively develop and mentor hourly employees to ensure all departmental standards and goals are understood and met.
  • Knowledge of Slot equipment. Excellent computer and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of player tracking systems including Patron Management & Machine Accounting. Previous money handling experience preferred.
  • Ability to work all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs.
  • Must have professional appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, in both oral and written forms.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.
  • A valid Nevada Gaming License is required and must be obtained before entering this position.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary for the success of the hotel.
  • Must be able to work under time constraints and within established deadlines.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment and exposed to various environmental factors such as but not limited to noise, dust, and smoke.
  • Close spaces while working with others.
