Summary

The Operations and Central Teams (OCT) organization at Micron plays a critical role in driving strategic execution, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across global manufacturing and engineering functions. The team partners cross-functionally to align business objectives, optimize performance, and enable innovation in memory and storage solutions.

The Operation Portfolio Management Office (OPMO) Project Manager is responsible for leading and delivering strategic programs and projects that support OCT and company-wide objectives. This role drives alignment across global team members, ensures delivery of measurable business outcomes, and enables process improvements through structured project management methodologies. The position has significant impact on operational performance, transformation initiatives, and cross-functional teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and implement global, cross-functional programs and projects aligned to OCT and company objectives
  • Develop and manage project scope, goals, timelines, resources, and performance metrics
  • Establish governance frameworks to track progress, risks, and changes, and take corrective actions as needed
  • Collaborate with partners, including fabs, PMO, and functional leaders, to drive alignment and successful delivery
  • Communicate project status, risks, and key decisions to leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance operational efficiency and performance outcomes
  • Mentor and support project managers while contributing to continuous improvement of project management methodologies
  • Build strong relationships across global teams and deliver presentations on project updates and initiatives

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related field
  • 1+ years of experience in project or program management within semiconductor or manufacturing environments
  • Experience working on cross-functional projects with multiple partners and organizational impact
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project timelines, deliverables, and performance metrics
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills in a global team environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP, PgMP, or equivalent project management certification
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
  • Experience leading transformation or strategy initiatives with measurable business outcomes
  • Experience implementing AI or digital solutions in operations or manufacturing environments
  • Experience mentoring or guiding project team members or junior project managers
