About the role

As Manager Technical Documentation, you will be responsible for developing and improving the global technical documentation and content creation process. The role is organizationally placed within Aftermarket, but process ownership includes all of Sales & Marketing. You will lead a team of five technical writers and collaborate closely with stakeholders across the organization.

You will have many contact points within Väderstad’s global organization, especially with Product Development, Aftermarket, and Sales & Marketing. You will participate in projects for new products and annual model updates, working closely to understand customer needs.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the global technical documentation and content creation process.
• Manage and coach the team in creating and updating technical product documentation, such as user manuals and assembly instructions.
• Develop and optimize the creation, organization and distribution of product data across Sales and Marketing (including close cooperation within all departments within Sales and Marketing).
• Responsible for translations of relevant documentation.
• Develop metrics to measure the effectiveness of the process.
• Act as a culture bearer for The Väderstad Way.

Key Qualifications

• Relevant academic degree, e.g., in engineering or as a Technical Communicator, Technical Writer, or similar.
• Proven experience in product information, technical documentation, and leadership.
• Strong project management skills.
• Excellent English, both written and spoken.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with Arbortext, XML, and DITA, especially in structured documentation environments.
• Experience with illustrations and graphic tools, e.g., Creo Illustrate, Adobe Illustrator, and other Adobe suite programs.
