Location: Okemos, MI
Salary: Starting at $65,000
Pay Frequency: Weekly – Direct Deposit

Assistant Director Dining Services Job Summary:
As the Assistant Director in our healthcare senior living community, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation and exceptional customer service of our dining services department. Your focus will be on building strong client relationships, particularly with residents and their families, while overseeing the development of an hourly staff dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of service excellence. Culinary experience is required to effectively lead our team and enhance the dining experience for our residents.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists with running the day-to-day operation of dining services.
Ensures client/customer service and satisfaction with efficient cost-effective management meeting and exceeding stated expectations.
Assists in the responsibility for all foodservice-related activities, including resident care, retail, cafeteria, catering etc., quality improvement, sanitation, infection control and all facility-related activities.
Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement strategies for improving operational efficiency and customer satisfaction
Monitor food quality and customer feedback, making adjustments as necessary to maintain high standards
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
2 years of food service experience.
Strong background in culinary arts
Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations.
Some knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
Communication skills both written and verbal and ability to communicate with management, client, customer and associate levels.
Financial, budgetary, accounting and computational skills.
Computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet.
ServSafe Certification is preferred.
